The recently ended Korean drama, My Love from the Star, featured the beautiful actress Jun Ji Hyun as the iconic character Chun Song Yi. While she and her male actor counterpart captivated the world's attention during the drama, Jun Ji Hyun's signature makeup look in the drama was particularly popular. Today I will introduce a few products that could recreate her neutral eyes and bright coral pink lips.

Chung Song Yi's eyes are a neutral warm tone brown shade with a hint of shimmer. The look does not draw much attention to the eyes because the point of the look is her bright lips. This eyeshadow from the Face Shop is a slightly orangish brown shade with a fine golden shimmer. Spread this across the lids either with your finger or with a large fluffy shadow brush and blend out the edges. Tightline if you'd like and add a light layer of mascara, and the eye makeup is done!

As you can see from the photos (and from the 20 something episodes of the drama that we all watched..) Chung Song Yi's lips are a bright coral-pink. Depending on the picture (or episode), they sometimes look a bit glossy as well.
To start off, I recommend using the MAC lipstick in Vegas Volt. This is a bright coral orange shade that does not have any shimmer. The Amplified range from MAC typically features this type of finish. To achieve Chun Song Yi's lips, first apply this lipstick all over the lips. We will top it off with the next product.

Of course, rumor has it that the actual products used to create the lip color on Jun Ji Hyun's lips are from Yves Saint Laurent (YSL). I've heard that the makeup artist used a combination of a few Vernis A Le Vres products - the Rouge Pur Couture, the Gloss Volupte, and the Glossy Tint. Apparently these products became so popular because of the drama that they are sold out everywhere, including Duty Free shops at international airports. Whether you've been able to grab the original YSL products or you are willing to try the more affordable alternatives from this post, Chun Song Yi's look is a great makeup look for the upcoming spring/summer!
